I can’t speak for anyone else, but my cosplay choices are often dictated by my internal struggles and the ways I empower myself. It’s not always the same, because I’m human and have a ton of contradictory ideas, emotions, and needs – which is one of the reasons Typhoid Mary speaks to me so clearly.
*Every once in a while I read something that kind of gets my hackles up. Today is one of those days. Women in Comics NYC Collective International posted an essay written about the Batgirl cover from last year that sparked conversation when DC opted to change the cover at the last minute.
