My first introduction to Mase was through his Sankofa Guard comic. I knew a woman who was cosplaying Lady Sankofa and I’d never heard of this character before. It would be another couple of years before I’d meet the writer and artist in my explorations of the Black speculative arts movement in Atlanta, but you, lucky people, get to meet him in this interview.
